Origin

Where the coffee we pour comes from.

Tulipán 58 serves Veracruz-origin specialty coffee in Gran Santa Fe, Caucel, Mérida. We do not roast in house: we work with roasting houses in Mérida and Veracruz for the beans we carry.

We work two profiles: Amanecer, a washed La Laja with a medium-dark roast for espresso, and Pausa, a Xico honey with a medium roast for pour-over.

Every bag declares process, region, roast level and roast date. That is not label decoration: it is the only honest way to say the coffee is good. When someone asks why, the answer is where it comes from and who roasted it.

Sold in 100 and 250 gram bags, at the shop.

Frequently asked

Do you roast the coffee yourselves?

No. We work with roasting houses in Mérida and Veracruz for the beans we carry. We choose the origin and the profile: Amanecer, a washed La Laja with a medium-dark roast, and Pausa, a Xico honey with a medium roast.

What makes a coffee specialty coffee?

That you can trace where it comes from, how it was processed and who roasted it. Every bag of ours declares process, region, roast level and roast date. If you cannot state those facts, it is not specialty.
